Want To Declare Independence From Overeating?

Independence Day was an important day in our nation's history. 

On a smaller scale, we can also think about what things, people, thoughts, ideas, and emotions from which each of us may need to declare independence. 

If you are trying to lose weight, what things keep you from your goal?

If your emotions tend to drive your eating, take a moment to think about what and how you will eat over the next few days.

As the world begins to open up again now that most of us are vaccinated against Covid, some of us will spend time with friends or family this weekend.

Here's the thing:  you are going to be spending time with your friends and family because of the company, not just because of the food. 

The party is about the connections (now more than ever, as we emerge from over 2 years of isolation). 

If you find that you are driven by cravings, or driven to eat in group situations, it turns out there are good reasons for it, and it’s NOT your fault! 

And it turns out that it’s way easier than you’d think to release that and enjoy the connections and good feelings about being with friends and family without having to feel compelled to eat.

What if one serving of your favorite food felt like enough and you didn't want to have three servings?

Or maybe you find that sometimes some negative emotions come up for you at family gatherings and you find those feelings drive you to stress eat.  What if that just didn't happen anymore?
